Community Partnerships
JA CHiP partners with a variety of agencies locally and state-wide. A list of these partnership and brief descriptions is available below:
- CHiP of Virginia - The state-wide organization responsible for filtering state funding to the ten CHIP sites across the state. Also supports sites through training and technical assistance and through the development and evaluation of Quality Standards.
- Home Visiting Consortium - A state-wide consortium that provides training in “best practices” and is working together to bring resources for home visiting programs to Virginia.
- Parents as Teachers - The national, evidence-based parent education model we utilize.
- Infant Toddler Connection - Where we refer families who have infants with possible developmental delays.
- Partnership for Children - A community collaboration of agencies in Charlottesville/Albemarle that focuses on early childhood.
- Teen Health Center - Helped us develop and maintain our PARENTEEN program
- CYFS - Part of the local home visiting collaborative, provides mental health services and coordinates neighborhood-based parenting play groups.
- Infant Development Project - part of the ARC of the Piedmont and part of the local home visting collaborative.
